The black plastic tag you are referring to is actually a security tag to prevent theft from our retailers. Now that you have your MIO home, you can safely remove the tag from your watch. Please see the picture below.

"I used to be very overweight and smoked up to three packs of cigarettes a day. When I got diagnosed with cancer, I knew that I had to turn my life around. I slowly started exercising, walking just a few miles everyday. As I recovered from the cancer I was able to join the YMCA and noticed other members checking their heart rate while working out.
