Staying Motivated

Another crucial factor in burning calories and accelerating your fat loss is to STAY MOTIVATED. Even the most elite athletes need motivation in order to succeed.

Music

Exercise feels easier when you listen to music, and listing to your favorite artist can even be exhilarating. Often listening to music while pedaling a stationary bike or walking on a treadmill will help to inspire you to workout longer and harder.

But remember, if you train outdoors, keep your headphones turned down so you can hear approaching dogs or cars.

Variety

The next most important factor is to keep your activity exciting, and the best way to beat boredom is through variety. Pedal one day, climb stairs the next, walk, jog or run the following week. Have a selection of workouts to choose from to keep you and your body from burning out.

Cross-Train

Do five minutes on each of the stair climber, treadmill and elliptical trainer. You'll have done fifteen minutes of cardio, but the small segments of time and change in activity will prevent you from getting bored and have you thinking you've done none at all.

If you don't feel like working out, put on your shoes anyway and go for a light walk. Moving slowly is a lot better than not moving at all.
