Just Get Moving

If a 20-minute Boot Camp class at the gym leaves you out of breath just thinking about it, remember that you don't have to work out hard for 20 minutes straight in order to minimize your waistline.

After all, your body is burning calories all of the time — you burn them when you sit; you burn more when you stand; you burn even more when you walk, jog or run (in that order). And, the more calories you burn, the more fat you lose. Using up your fat stores is a cumulative effort and can be incorporated into your day-to-day activities.

Click on the links below for some fun examples of incorporating more movement into your daily life...

Do five-minute mini-workouts throughout the day

Simply move more throughout the day

Treat your yard work or household chores as a workout

Twenty minutes of extra activity throughout the day goes a long way toward burning those 3,500 calories! but don't stop there! Add five minutes each week to see even better results. In just four weeks you will be moving 40-minutes a day beyond what you were doing before.
